Monroe Power Plant 2026

Ever wonder where our electricity comes from? Electricity is critical to so many aspects of our life. Responsible use of electricity includes efficient and thrifty considerations. Join your fellow scouts as we visit one of the largest coal fired power plants in North America. We will learn how the power plant converts coal into heat, heat into steam and steam into electricity. As an added bonus, the scouts will work towards completing the Energy Merit Badge.
